Alcohol Free Beer. Who would drink it!

by TwistedPsycho @ 06/04/2006 - 15:26:37

What a bad few days I have had.... Was doing really well not playing ANY fruit machines until today. £100 later BAM!

I have found out though just how few pubs sell alcohol-free beer, and how extortionatly expensive others make it, just showing that some of the pub chains out there just don't want to help stop drink driving!

Now I am not fussy if I am on low-alc beer. I will drink Kaliber, Becks (Alc-Free), Bitburger "Drive", Holsten Pils "White Label" and anything else that could be offered me, but a special mention goes out to the following pubs:

Walkabout Bar, Southampton City Centre. can only offer Coke and fruit juice.
The Red Lion, West Street, Portchester. can only offer Coke and fruit juice.
The Endevour, Southampton City Centre. Kaliber £2.50 a bottle!

On the better side of things:

Weatherspoons, Southampton and Fareham. Kaliber 99p a bottle
Clinkers Tavern, Fareham (Opposite the Magistrate Courts). £1.65 a bottle (Around £3 a pint)
The Red Lion (Q's chain), Cosham, Portsmouth. £1.85 a bottle (Not good, but not bad either (Just over £3 a pint)

Three days of lovely night shifts before my next two days off (horrahhh) so plenty of moaning to be done.
